사랑의 선물들 - 메허 바바

Love is a gift from God to man.
Obedience is a gift from Master to man.
Surrender is a gift from man to Master.

사랑은 신(God)이 인간(man)에게 주는 선물이다.
복종(obedience)은 스승(Master)이 인간에게 주는 선물이다.
항복(surrender)은 인간이 스승에게 주는 선물이다.

 

One who loves desires the will of the Beloved.
one who obeys does the will of the Beloved.
one who surrenders knows nothing but the will of the Beloved.

사랑하는 이는 비러벳(Beloved)의 뜻이 펼쳐짐을 기원한다.
복종하는 이는 비러벳의 뜻을 이행한다.
항복하는 이는 비러벳의 뜻 외에는 아무것도 모른다.

 

Love seeks union with the Beloved.
Obedience seeks the pleasure of the Beloved.
Surrender seeks nothing.

사랑은 비러벳과의 합일을 추구한다.
복종은 비러벳의 행복을 추구한다.  
항복은 그 무엇도 추구하지 않는다.

 

One who loves is the lover of the Beloved.
one who obeys is the beloved of the Beloved.
one who surrenders has no existence other than the Beloved.

 

사랑하는 이는 비러벳의 러버다.  
복종하는 이는 비러벳의 비러벳이다. 
항복하는 이에게는 비러벳 외의 그 어떤 존재도 없다.

 

Greater than love is obedience.
Greater than obedience is surrender.
All three arise out of, and remain contained in, the Ocean of divine Love.

사랑보다는 복종이 위대하다.
복종보다는 항복이 위대하다.
이 셋은 모두 신성한 사랑의 바다(Ocean of divine love)에서 솟아나, 늘 그 안에 담겨 있다.
